The statutory minimum for the main applicant is 400% of IPREM. No. The Non-Lucrative Visa is specifically designed for residence in Spain without employment or professional activity. Current official guidance also states that it does not permit remote or online work. Applicants who intend to work remotely should normally consider Spain's Digital Nomad route instead.
Does my income have to come from outside Spain?
There is no simple requirement that all financial resources must be labelled as “foreign income.” The key requirement is that you have sufficient and guaranteed means to support yourself without needing to work or undertake professional activity while residing in Spain. Savings, pensions, regular income and other qualifying assets or resources may be relevant depending on the evidence provided.
Can my family apply with me?

Can the Non-Lucrative Visa lead to long-term residence in Spain?
Potentially, yes. The initial non-lucrative residence authorisation lasts one year, and qualifying renewals are generally granted for two years. Spain also provides a route to long-term residence after at least five years of qualifying legal residence, subject to the applicable residence and absence requirements. Under the current rules, renewal of the Non-Lucrative permit also requires real and effective residence in Spain for more than 183 days during the calendar year.
